heh. muy brain-fried at the moment. got back from San Diego last night, am jetting off to Vega$$$ in a few....

home was good even though it wasn't full-on home time. i did get to spend some fun time with friends and a bit of fam, and ate at my favorite haunts (Calypso, Fish Market, and Pizza Port, thank you very much). was busy at the show--but mostly socializing and shooting the shit with my pals, not much work got done. saved my energy by not going to one single party *gasp*, knowing that Vegas is going to hit hard--am already booked up for the night time activites.... then will go straight to SLC (again!!!) for another four days. ugh. what a culture shock.

last nite i threw in the laundry straight from the suitcase, and that's where it will return... this is the craziest time of year--so much work to be done while simultanteously sitting on planes, making/having appointments, drinking and eating like pigs..... and there's all this Snow just sitting around calling my name that i have to pretend doesn't exist.... that's okay, after all this madness Snow, you will have your day.... i'm thinking Mammoth and Breck will be at my mercy soon..... that will keep me going thru the smoke-screened casinos and mormon-monitored bars.

wish me luck,
xoxo,

got the first batch of CDs out this weekend, all those who requested them here should get them early in the week, you east coasters might take a bit longer. i'm pretty stoked on the mix, plese give me honest feed-back. i love it, but am wondering if there's a few songs that may not sit well with all. we shall see.

other than that, work is busy, surprise, i get out of here for the home hood on Thursday morning, yay. will be gone from this Thurs til the following Tuesday, back til that Friday, then gone for a solid ten days. wheee. hooray for early mornings, late nights, too much work and too much booze. sloshfest 2004 here i come.

hiked the pipe both days this weekend and am super-sore, but thanks to my very mostest-favorite ad rep, i am scheduled for my Christmas present tomorrow--an 85 minute hot-stone massage . it probably helps that i spend hundreds of thousands of dollars a year with her, but she's still one of my favs. also think i might go hike at lunch tomorrow--if i crash and burn, at least there's a massage at the end of the day....

werd up.

look out world, i'm up and humming along on a brand new laptop slash docking station compaq pentium something-or-other. i dunno, i just use the damn thing, and so far so good.

i also am feeling a little less stuffy/crabby/etc., today, though i had hoped to go riding today, and unfortunately that didn't happen. so much going on at work, and with the computer switch out i got completely distracted....

i feel i haven't posted anything very interesting or thoughtful as of late, hopefully this weekend i will recharge. the snow and work and eat and sleep cycle has me a little bogged down at the moment.....

happy weekend, dont freeze,

ps. am trying to get the main installment of cards/mixes out this weekend.

i'm really frustrated right now. i actually came up with a cool idea for an upcoming tradeshow, something that i really want to do, and i even got the thumbs up from my boss, and yet i think the whole project is going to slip through the cracks because i cant get the right people to help me out and get back to me. so. annoying.

anyways, other than that, have just been working a ton, think i'm getting a cold. yesterday the low was negative 6. sweet. my California blood doesn't handle anything that far below freezing so well. ugh. am home for a bit longer then off to the tradeshow circuit. at least i'll be out of this freezing-ass crap hole.

crabby.

this is a photo from a room that has basically not changed since my childhood. its my grandmothers guest room that my sister and i have slept in since the beginning of memory. its comforting to know that it is still there waiting for us. we stayed there on Christmas nite, as we have, always.

it finally stopped snowing. and its supposed to start again tonite. i never, ever thought i would pray for it to stop snowing. its been so much to the point of being scary.

this long weekend was draining and fairly bizarre. i haven't been so exhausted ever. between shoveling snow and riding and staying out late and drinking--my body is still in a state of mass confusion....

must go, too much work to do, am still promising a photo essay, after of course, finishing the CD.

until then kidlets,

happy new year and all that junk.

so here's the deal. i had great intentions of doing Christmas cards this year, and that got immediately lost by the wayside in the midst of all other holiday mayhem. so in order to make up for my lack of organizational skills then, i am offering a very special one-time-only New Years card and CD mix. so, for anys of yous who care to get on the list, please send me an email or a comment with yr address in the next few days (i'm hoping to get them out by Tuesday at the latest). i have high aspirations of actually getting this done, so the more people i commit to, the more likely it will actually happen.

lemme know.

other than that, we've been battling the snow up here for the last few days. between New Years eve and New Years day, we received probably about 3 or more feet of snow. it was simultaneously great and horrible. i got my 4wd truck stuck in my own driveway yesterday afternoon, after spending an hour the day before shoveling it out. my neighbors had to come rescue me. its times like this when i really regret not having some sort of boy at hand. that sounds horrible maybe, but its true.

but whateves, i had my sixth day of riding this season, and my sixth powder day this season. freaky. it'll be weird to actually get back on groomed snow.

hope y'all had a wonderful New Years.
xoxo.
