i apologize for the lack of bloggage, but as most of you who read this know, this is the craziest time of year for me work-wise. i've been home for the last few days and am hammering away at the office before i leave again on Saturday for a two week tour... am on the verge of sickness, downing Emer'gen-C and echinacea and doing my shamanic "please-holy-spirits-dont-let-me-get-sick-dance"... ugh. last year at SIA/Vegas i was without my voice for four days trying to talk to editors and ad people for 8 hours a day. brutal... but looking forward to the next few weeks as Brad and i will be traveling together the entire time. at the end of it we'll either hate each other's guts or know that things are good. we'll see.
that's about it. hope you all are happy and well and enjoying your new year.
.xo.

this is the freezing view from my office. ees cold, no?

oh, negative four degrees, how i love thee. i love thee when i walk outside and your frigid air hits my lungs, sending me into a hacking, coughing fit. i love thee when i start my car, and it chugs and glugs, gasping and turning over oh-so-slowly like a sick kitten. i love thee when i slam the back tailgate, hear a popping sound, and you shatter whatever unknown mechanism it is that keeps said tailgate shut. you are so charming, so welcome.
why is it that the absence of any sort of warmth makes the visibilty suddenly go on forever. the drive to work this morning was unbelievably gorgeous, though unbelievably freakin' feezing. hopefully it's going to warm up a tad though, as we're battening down to get hit by one of the biggest storms in fifty years. apparently three weather systems are converging over the mid-continent all at once... we're going to be on the edge, but hopefully we'll get some good fresh out of it... thanks god i dont have to leave here again til next wednesday...
"... Winter Storm Watch In Effect Friday Afternoon Through Sunday... The National Weather Service In Pocatello Has Issued A Winter Storm Watch For The Mountains Of Central Idaho And Highlands Of Eastern Idaho. A Major Pacific Storm Will Push Into Idaho Friday... it's not going to be very wet if it doesnt warm up at least twenty-plus degrees. sheesh.
hope you all are warm,
